# Account & settings Source: https://docs.speedsignal.com/account-and-settings Sign in, pick your theme and chart provider, set notification preferences, and manage your plan and billing for Speed Signal AI. Your account controls how you sign in, how the dashboard looks, how you're notified, and your subscription. This page walks through each setting and where to find it. ## What you see The Settings tab with the Notification Settings panel and the Privacy and data section ## Sign in or create an account Speed Signal AI uses a hosted sign-in provider, so you can use an email and password or a social login. Go to [speedsignal.com](https://speedsignal.com) and select **Sign in**. Enter your email to create or access your account, or continue with one of the social providers offered. Confirm your email if prompted, and the dashboard opens on the Daily Brief. Your account is single-user and non-transferable. To update your login details or sign out, open the account menu (your avatar) in the top corner and choose **Manage account** or **Sign out**. ## Switch between dark and light themes The theme toggle sits in the top navigation bar. Select it to move between dark and light, or press T. Your choice is saved in the browser you're using, so it sticks between visits on that device. ## Choose a chart provider On any ticker's detail page, a **Chart Provider** control sits above the candlestick chart. It changes only how the chart renders, not the data behind it: * **TradingView**: the default; a full-featured interactive chart. * **Speed Charts**: a fast, lightweight renderer. Select any row on the Signal Board or Daily Brief to open its detail view. Use the **Chart Provider** dropdown above the chart to switch rendering. If a provider can't load, the dashboard falls back to another automatically. ## Set your notification preferences In **Settings**, the **Notification Settings** panel controls how alerts reach you: * **Email**: delivery to the address you enter, with a **Test Email** button to confirm it works. * **Push Notifications**: browser push, with a **Test Push** button. * **In-App Notifications**: alerts shown inside the dashboard while you're active. * **Daily digest**: bundles the day's alerts into one email plus one push, instead of one message per alert. * **Quiet Hours**: a **From** / **To** window (with a timezone) during which notifications are paused. * **Max alerts per day**: caps how many alerts reach you by email and push. The in-app bell always logs them all; `0` means unlimited. Select **Save** to apply your changes. To create the alerts themselves, see [Alerts](/dashboard/alerts). ## Delete your account and data Also in **Settings**, under **Privacy & data**: * **Delete my account** permanently erases your account and all your data. You'll be asked to type `DELETE` to confirm, and you're signed out afterward. This cannot be undone. If you'd like a copy of your data, email [support@speedsignal.com](mailto:support@speedsignal.com) and we'll prepare one for you. ## Plans and billing There are two plans: | Plan | Price | Includes | | -------- | --------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------- | | **Free** | \$0 / month | Core dashboard access, no payment method required. | | **Pro** | $99 / month, or $990 / year | Full access. Annual billing saves two months. | Pro comes with a **7-day free trial** (full access; cancel before day 8 to avoid a charge) and a **30-day money-back guarantee** on new subscriptions. Payments are processed securely by **Stripe**. **Speed Media Group LLC** is the merchant and seller of record, so charges may appear on your statement as Speed Signal AI, Speed Media Group, or a similar descriptor. Applicable taxes may be calculated at checkout. To cancel or change your plan, email [support@speedsignal.com](mailto:support@speedsignal.com) or use the live chat on the dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. ## Limits & common mistakes * **Theme and chart provider are per-browser.** They're saved on the device you set them on, so a different browser or device may start with the defaults. * **Push needs browser permission.** If push is blocked, enable notifications for the site in your browser settings, then use **Test Push** to confirm. * **Quiet Hours and the daily cap only limit email and push.** The in-app bell still logs every alert. * **Billing changes go through support.** There's no self-serve billing portal in the dashboard yet; use email or live chat to cancel, switch plans, or request a refund. ## Next steps Create the presets and per-ticker rules that these preferences deliver. This is a map of the whole dashboard: the four main tabs across the top, the extra views tucked into the menu, and how to read any single ticker. Use it to get oriented; each view has its own page with the details. ## What you see Speed Signal AI opens on the **Daily Brief**. A top navigation bar holds the four primary tabs, and a **menu** (the hamburger button) holds the rest. A **Learn** link and a **bell** icon (which jumps to Alerts) sit in the same bar. The dashboard top navigation with the primary tabs, the hamburger menu button, and the Daily Brief below ## The main tabs These four are always one tap away. On a keyboard you can jump with **1**, **2**, **3**, and **4**. Two more shortcuts help: **/** jumps to the Signal Board and focuses its search box, and **T** toggles between the dark and light themes. * **Daily Brief**: the home view. It summarizes the latest scan with a Market Snapshot (an overall regime read plus KPIs like New Liftoffs, Pre-Ignition Upgrades, Near Pivot, and Failed Setups), a Top 10 Daily Setups table, a short Signal Story, and Sector Strength. Start here to see the day at a glance. See [Daily Brief](/dashboard/daily-brief). * **Signal Board**: the full, filterable screener. Narrow 3,000+ tickers with quick-filter **chips** (such as New Liftoffs, Highest Conviction, Near Pivot, and Large Cap), a search box, and an **Advanced Filters** drawer (editable eligibility thresholds, status/tier/risk pills, and a compact comparison table). See [Signal Board](/dashboard/signal-board). * **Watchlist**: the names you've saved. It starts empty; tap the **star** next to any ticker to add it, then track how its Phase and Conviction change over time. See [Watchlist](/dashboard/watchlist). * **Alerts**: notifications you turn on. Toggle presets or build custom per-ticker rules, delivered by email, push, or in-app. It starts empty too. See [Alerts](/dashboard/alerts). ## The menu (hamburger) The menu holds the more focused views: * **Ticker Detail**: the full page for one ticker: chart, context, and the **Overview**, **Technicals**, and **Fundamentals** sub-tabs. You usually reach it by clicking a row anywhere in the dashboard. See [Ticker Detail](/dashboard/ticker-detail). * **Top Movers**: the session's biggest movers, with each row's Phase shown alongside. See [Top Movers](/dashboard/top-movers). * **Anomalies**: tickers flagged for unusual behavior outside the canonical setup (for example, a volume climax or a gap extreme). See [Anomalies](/dashboard/anomalies). * **Overview**: a market-wide summary view. (This is different from the **Overview** sub-tab *inside* a Ticker Detail page, which is about that one ticker; see "How to read a ticker" below.) * **Settings**: your notification preferences, plan and billing, and account controls (including deleting your account). The theme toggle lives in the top bar, and the chart provider is chosen on a ticker's detail page, not here. See [Account & settings](/account-and-settings). On a narrow phone, the **Alerts** tab moves into the menu so the top bar stays tidy. The views are the same; only where you tap to reach them changes, so your screen may not match a screenshot exactly. ## How to read a ticker Open any ticker (click its row) to see its full context. Every part is descriptive, meant to help you review the situation before doing your own research: * **Phase** describes the current state of the setup: **Coiling** (tightening base), **Pre-Ignition** (conditions starting to show), **Liftoff** (the most active phase, where the most conditions line up in the data at once), or **Below** (not in an active setup right now). * **Conviction** groups how the ticker ranks against the rest of the market that session: **Low**, **Medium**, or **High**. On the detail page it appears as **Conviction NN/100**; in tables it sits under the **Conviction** column (shortened to **Conf** in the Advanced Filters drawer table and the Anomalies table). It's a separate axis from Phase: a Coiling ticker can be High Conviction, and a Liftoff ticker can be Low. * **Risk flags** identify conditions worth a closer look, for example, **Extended** (already far from its base), **Elevated VIX**, **Bearish Market Regime**, or **Pre-Earnings Run** (an earnings event is near). They add context; they don't change the underlying number. * **Chart and levels** show technical reference points (such as the pivot the setup is built around) as context, not as entry or exit instructions. The candlestick chart is the one live element on the page. The three sub-tabs organize the rest: **Overview** (the summary for that ticker), **Technicals** (the price and volume behavior behind the Phase), and **Fundamentals** (company financials). ## Limits & common mistakes * **Two "Overview" views exist.** The **Overview** in the menu is a market-wide summary; the **Overview** sub-tab inside Ticker Detail is about one ticker. Check which one you're on. * **The board is end-of-day.** Only the ticker's candlestick chart is live; everything else reflects the last completed session. * **A view organizes data; it doesn't recommend action.** Tabs, chips, and flags surface context for your own research. ## Next steps Filters, chips, and the Advanced Filters drawer in depth. What each phase means and why Conviction is relative. Everything on a single ticker's page, sub-tab by sub-tab. # Alerts Source: https://docs.speedsignal.com/dashboard/alerts Let Speed Signal AI notify you when the dashboard changes for the names or conditions you chose: ready-made presets or custom per-ticker rules, delivered by email, push, and in-app, and quiet hours. **Alerts** let the system watch the dashboard for you and notify you when something changes on the names or conditions you picked, so you do not have to check manually. You can switch on ready-made **presets** or build **custom rules** for a specific ticker. Alerts are informational notifications, not trade recommendations. Speed Signal AI is not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Alerts start **empty**. Nothing fires until you turn on a preset or create a rule. On a narrow phone, **Alerts** moves into the menu (the hamburger button) to keep the top bar tidy. The tab works the same; only where you tap to reach it changes. ## What you see Before you set anything up, the Alerts tab shows the preset catalog with every toggle off and a custom-rule builder. Once you enable alerts, an activity list shows what has fired. (Delivery channels and quiet hours live in **Settings → Notification Settings**, not here.) The Alerts tab with the preset alert cards, the custom-rule builder, and the activity list ## Turn on a preset alert Presets are seven ready-made rules that cover the most common things people watch for. Click the **Alerts** tab or press 4. Find the preset that matches what you want to be notified about (see the table below). Flip the preset's switch on. It applies across the scan and stays on until you turn it off. The seven presets: | Preset | Notifies you when | | ------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Phase Upgrade** | A ticker advances to a stronger phase. | | **Near Pivot** | A ticker moves within about 5% of its pivot. | | **Liftoff Confirmation** | A ticker confirms the Liftoff phase on expanding volume. | | **Volume Surge** | A ticker's volume expands well above its normal range. | | **Setup Failure** | A setup breaks down or no longer meets its criteria. | | **Earnings Shield** | A ticker's earnings event is approaching or flagged as higher risk. | | **Score Jump** | A ticker's Conviction rose sharply from one session to the next (the underlying Conviction number moved significantly). | ## Build a custom rule for a ticker When a preset is not specific enough, build your own rule. Pick what the rule watches: **My Saved Setups** (your [Watchlist](/dashboard/watchlist)), **Any Ticker**, or one **Specific Ticker**. **Any Ticker** watches the entire universe and is a **Pro** feature; Free rules use **My Saved Setups** or a **Specific Ticker**. Set what to watch for, such as a phase change (to Liftoff, Pre-Ignition, Coiling, Below, or any change) or a threshold on a tracked measure like distance to pivot, volume impulse, or days to earnings. Select **Create Alert**. The rule joins your active alerts and is checked each time the dashboard updates. ## Choose how you are notified Delivery channels and timing live in **Settings → Notification Settings**, not in the Alerts tab. Open [Account & settings](/account-and-settings) to control: * **Email** sends alerts to your address (you can send a test). * **Push Notifications** deliver in your browser (you can send a test). * **In-App Notifications** appear inside the dashboard while you have it open. * **Daily digest** bundles the day's alerts into one email and one push instead of one per alert. * **Quiet Hours** pause delivery during the window you set (From, To, and a timezone). **Channels by plan.** On **Free**, alerts always appear in-app and are summarized in one **daily email digest**. **Web Push** and individual per-event emails are **Pro**. ## Limits and common mistakes * **Free allows 3 active alert rules; Pro is unlimited.** A counter shows how many you've used; a fourth prompts you to upgrade. * **Nothing fires from an empty setup.** You have to turn on at least one preset or create a rule first. * **Alerts follow the once-a-day update.** Because scores refresh after the US close, alerts reflect the most recent completed session, not live intraday moves. * **Push needs permission.** Your browser must allow notifications; on iPhone, add the dashboard to your Home Screen first so push can work. * **Quiet Hours really do pause things.** If you set a wide window, expect notifications to hold until it ends. ## Next steps Star the tickers you want your custom rules to watch. Find names and conditions worth an alert. Manage your account, plan, and dashboard preferences. # Anomalies Source: https://docs.speedsignal.com/dashboard/anomalies A risk-and-opportunity lens over the daily scan: seven flags that highlight tickers behaving unusually versus the rest of the market. Flags are informational context and never change a ticker's score. The **Anomalies** tab surfaces tickers whose behavior stands out from the rest of the day's scan. It compares each name against the whole universe and flags the ones sitting at the extremes, whether that is a risk worth knowing or an unusual strength worth a look. Speed Signal AI is screening and analytics software, not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Scores, phases, and screening results are data outputs and research candidates, not investment advice, recommendations, trading signals, or a buy list. Always do your own research. Every flag here is **informational context**. Flags do **not** change a ticker's phase or Conviction; they sit alongside the score to tell you something extra about the name. ## What you see At the top, a "Risk Flags Detected" banner explains the tab. Below it, seven flag cards each show a live count of how many tickers tripped that flag today. Under the cards, a table lists every flagged ticker with its Conviction level (the **Conf** column), its status, the specific flags it carries, and its sector. **Free and Pro.** The seven flag cards and their live counts are available on every plan. The full **All Flagged Tickers** table (up to 500 flagged names, sortable, with sector and volume) and its **filter-by-flag** behavior are a **Pro** feature; on Free, the table area shows how to unlock it. The Anomalies tab with the Risk Flags Detected banner, the grid of flag cards, and the All Flagged Tickers table ## The seven flags | Flag | What it highlights | | ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | **ATR Spike** | Volatility has jumped into the top of the ticker's own recent range, so a larger move may be building. | | **Volume Climax** | Unusually heavy volume paired with little price movement, which can mark absorption at a level. | | **MF Divergence** | Money flow turned negative while the price rose, a weaker reading than the price alone suggests. | | **Sector Outlier** | The ticker is leading its sector even while the sector itself is weak. | | **Gap Extreme** | A large gap up or down from the prior close, almost always driven by news. | | **Pre-Earnings Run** | An earnings report is due within about a week and the name has recently jumped (event risk). | | **Piotroski Mismatch** | A strong technical reading paired with weak fundamentals. | A single ticker can carry more than one flag at once. Some flags lean toward risk and some toward opportunity; the tab groups them together so you can see both. ## Filter by a flag Filtering the flagged table by a card is a **Pro** feature. On Free, selecting a card shows how to unlock the full table. Click or tap any of the seven cards to filter the table below to only the tickers carrying that flag. Tap the same card again, or use **Show All**, to return to the full list of flagged tickers. ## How to read the results * **Flags are context, not a score.** A flag never raises or lowers a ticker's Conviction; it is a separate note about the name. * **Counts change daily.** The number on each card is how many tickers tripped that flag in the latest scan, so it moves session to session. * **Some days are clean.** When no ticker trips any flag, the tab shows a "No anomalies detected" state, meaning the universe looks clean across all seven categories. * **A flag is a prompt to look, not a verdict.** For example, a Pre-Earnings Run marks event risk to be aware of; it does not tell you to act. ## Limits and common mistakes * **Flags do not move the phase or Conviction.** If you are ranking names, use the phase and Conviction; treat flags as side context. * **Everything here is end-of-day.** The tab reflects the most recent completed session, not live intraday behavior. * **"Anomaly" is one of the risk flags elsewhere too.** A name flagged here may also show an anomaly note on its [detail page](/dashboard/ticker-detail). ## Next steps Open a flagged name to see its full context and readings. Filter the full scan by phase and market cap. The three pillars behind every phase and Conviction level. # Daily Brief Source: https://docs.speedsignal.com/dashboard/daily-brief The home view of Speed Signal AI: what changed in today's scan of 3,000+ US stocks, from a market snapshot and the top-ranked setups to sector strength. The **Daily Brief** is the home view. It opens by default when you sign in and answers one question: **what changed today?** Instead of the full list, it surfaces the day's market snapshot, the top-ranked setups of the session, how each sector is behaving, and more, all from the most recent completed session. Speed Signal AI is screening and analytics software, not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Scores, phases, and screening results are data outputs and research candidates, not investment advice, recommendations, trading signals, or a buy list. Always do your own research. ## What you see The Daily Brief with the Market Snapshot, KPIs, and Top 10 Daily Setups The Daily Brief is organized top to bottom: * **Market Snapshot**: a market-regime card (**Bullish**, **Neutral**, or **Bearish**) that summarizes which way the day's scan is leaning, based on the mix of phases across the scanned names, plus four KPI counts that update each session, each showing the percentage change versus the prior session: **New Liftoffs**, **Pre-Ignition Upgrades**, names **Near Pivot**, and **Failed Setups**. Each KPI is clickable and opens the [Signal Board](/dashboard/signal-board) filtered to that group. * **Top 10 Daily Setups**: the session's highest-ranked names in one table, with a **Filters** panel to narrow them. * **Signal Story**: a short narrative summary of the day. * **Sector Strength**: which sectors are leading and lagging in the day's scan. * **Recent Setups**: names that recently moved into a setup, tracked by their price change since then. Scores update **once per day, after the US market closes**. Everything you see reflects the most recent completed trading session, not live intraday prices. The only live element is the candlestick chart on a ticker's detail page. ## Read the Market Snapshot The **Market Snapshot** sets the backdrop. The regime card summarizes which way the day's scan is leaning, from the balance of phases in today's results, and lands on **Bullish**, **Neutral**, or **Bearish**. The four KPIs then count what changed in the scan today, each with a day-over-day delta (a percentage change versus the prior session) so you can see the direction of travel. Selecting a KPI jumps into the Signal Board pre-filtered to those names, with a banner showing which Daily Brief group you came from. A day-over-day delta describes what already happened at the last close. It is shown as a percentage change versus the prior session (for example, "▲ +25%" beside **New Liftoffs** means that count rose about 25% from the prior session). It is not a forecast. ## Filter the Top 10 Daily Setups It is the default view. If you are elsewhere, select **Daily Brief** in the top navigation (or press **1**). On the **Top 10 Daily Setups** table, select **Filters** to narrow the list by **Phase** (Coiling, Pre-Ignition, Liftoff), market cap (Small/Mid vs Large), how recently a name changed phase, and whether it is still below its trigger. Select **View all setups** to open the full [Signal Board](/dashboard/signal-board), where you can sort, apply the themed chips, and open individual tickers. ## Read the Sector Strength card The **Sector Strength** card shows which industry groups are supportive and which are acting as a headwind in the current session. It is context: a name in a leading sector has a tailwind, while a name in a lagging sector is working against its group. It does not rank individual stocks and does not change any ticker's phase or Conviction. ## Read the Recent Setups card The **Recent Setups** card lists names that moved into a setup recently and tracks how their price has behaved since then. It is a look back at how earlier setups have played out, not a prompt to act on any of them. ## Limits & common mistakes * **The Daily Brief reflects one completed session.** The counts and deltas describe the most recent close, not live intraday movement. * **A day-over-day delta is not a forecast.** Each KPI shows a percentage change versus the prior session (for example, "▲ +25%" beside New Liftoffs); it says nothing about what happens next. * **The Signal Story is a plain-language recap, not a prediction.** It summarizes the day's scan; it does not tell you what to do with any name. * **Empty or quiet sections are normal.** On a slow session, some counts may be low or a card may hold few names. That is a description of the market, not an error. ## Next steps Explore and filter the full list the Daily Brief opens into. What Coiling, Pre-Ignition, Liftoff, and Conviction levels mean. Get notified when these groups change, without checking manually. # Signal Board Source: https://docs.speedsignal.com/dashboard/signal-board The screener in Speed Signal AI: filter 3,000+ US stocks with themed chips and eligibility thresholds, ranked by the day's Conviction. The **Signal Board** is the full, filterable list behind the Daily Brief. Use it to explore, sort, and compare every ticker in the day's scan by phase, Conviction, and market cap, then open any name for its full detail. Speed Signal AI is screening and analytics software, not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Scores, phases, and screening results are data outputs and research candidates, not investment advice, recommendations, trading signals, or a buy list. Always do your own research. ## What you see The Signal Board with its quick-filter chips, the KPI row, and a results table showing Phase badges and Conviction levels At the top of the board sit a **search box** (search by ticker or company) and a row of **themed chips** ending in an **"Advanced Filters"** button. Below that, a row of KPI cards summarizes the session, and under that is the results table. Every row shows the ticker, its **Phase** badge (Coiling / Pre-Ignition / Liftoff / Below), and its **Conviction** level (the column header reads **"Conviction"**), plus context columns: **Setup Quality**, **Trigger**, **Distance to Pivot**, **Earnings Risk**, and a short plain-language **Signal Story** summarizing the setup. The main table is fixed to the day's ranking, highest Conviction first; its column headers do not re-sort it. **Free and Pro.** On **Free**, the board shows the **top 20** ranked setups of the day (all columns), with a banner showing how many more exist. The KPI counts and chip counts still reflect the whole universe. **Pro** shows the full ranked universe (\~3,000 tickers) and the **Advanced Filters** drawer. Scores update **once per day, after the US market closes**. Everything you see reflects the most recent completed trading session, not live intraday prices. The only live element is the candlestick chart on a ticker's detail page. ## The KPI row Four cards sit above the table and count how many names fall into each group in the current session: | KPI | What it counts | | ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ | | **Best Today** | The session's highest-Conviction names. | | **Near Trigger** | Names trading within about 5% of their trigger level. | | **Early Setups** | Names in the Pre-Ignition phase. | | **Confirmed Breakouts** | Names trading above their pivot with volume behind the move. | "Best Today" groups the highest **relative** Conviction of the session, not an objectively good or recommended list. See [Phases & Conviction](/scores/phases-and-conviction) for why Conviction resets each day. ## Filter with the themed chips A row of eight **single-select** chips sits above the table. Selecting one narrows the board to that theme; selecting it again clears it. Only one chip is active at a time. | Chip | What it shows | | ---------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- | | **Highest Conviction** | Names at High Conviction today. | | **New Liftoffs** | Names that moved into Liftoff within the last few sessions. | | **Near Pivot** | Names trading just below their pivot level. | | **Quiet Accumulation** | Coiling names that still rank at Medium or High Conviction. | | **Strong RS** | Names with high relative strength versus the market. | | **Low Earnings Risk** | Names with no confirmed earnings event on the near horizon. | | **Small/Mid Cap** | Smaller companies by market capitalization. | | **Large Cap** | Larger companies by market capitalization. | Conviction is **relative and resets every session**. "High" means a ticker ranked among the highest relative scores in that day's scan of 3,000+ tickers, not that it is an objectively good or recommended stock. A ticker's Conviction can change from one day to the next because the pool changed, not because the company did. ## Advanced Filters The **"Advanced Filters"** drawer is a **Pro** feature. The **"Advanced Filters"** button, at the end of the chip row, opens a drawer with the deeper controls: * **Conviction** pills (Low / Medium / High) to keep or hide names by Conviction level. * **Status**, **Tier** (Large / Mid / Small), and **Risk Flags** pills to include or exclude names by phase, size band, or anomaly. * A **Top N** cap that limits the list to the highest-ranked names. * The eligibility thresholds, each with an inline help icon (see below). * **Clear All** to reset every filter. * A **compact comparison table** at the bottom of the drawer with tighter columns: **Ticker**, **Conf**, **Status**, **Tier**, **Exchange**, **Price**, **Chg %**, **Vol X**, and **MCap**. Here the Conviction level is shortened to **Conf**. The compact table has its own **"Search (advanced)..."** box, and, unlike the main board, you can sort it by clicking any column header. The board paginates large result sets, so sorting and counts apply across the whole list, not just the visible page. There is no sector filter on the Signal Board. Sector context lives on the [Daily Brief](/dashboard/daily-brief) as the Sector Strength card. ## Adjust the eligibility thresholds Before scoring, every stock must pass a set of coverage filters so the board stays focused on liquid, tradable US equities. In the Advanced Filters drawer you can adjust most of these thresholds yourself, and each field has an inline help icon explaining what it does: | Threshold | What it controls | | --------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Min Price \$** | Minimum stock price, to filter out very low-priced, volatile names. | | **Min Liquidity \$M** | Minimum average daily dollar-volume, so there is enough trading activity. | | **Min MCap \$B** | Minimum market capitalization. | | **Max Gap Down %** | Disqualifies names that opened far below the prior close. | | **Large-Cap Earnings Cutoff \$B** | The market-cap line that decides whether a name uses the large-cap or mid-cap pre-earnings window (it is an earnings rule, not a size filter). | | **Mid-Cap Pre-Earnings Days** | Excludes mid-caps this many trading days before a confirmed earnings date. | | **Large-Cap Pre-Earnings Days** | Excludes large-caps this many trading days before earnings. | | **Post-Earnings Days** | Excludes names this many trading days after they reported. | Free float above 30% is also required, and names in a clearly established downtrend are filtered out. See [Data & coverage](/scores/data-coverage) for the default values and the universe. ### Why isn't my ticker here? If a stock you expect is missing, it usually failed one of the filters above, most often price, liquidity, market cap, or the earnings buffer around a confirmed report date. It may also simply be in the **Below** phase (not in an active setup right now) rather than filtered out. Loosen the relevant threshold in the Advanced Filters drawer to check. ## How to read the results * Lead with the **Phase** badge (where the setup sits) and the **Conviction** level (how it ranks today). They are separate axes: a Coiling name can be High Conviction and a Liftoff name can be Low. * Use the **Advanced Filters** drawer's compact table (Conf, Status, Tier, Exchange, Price, Chg %, Vol X, MCap) as extra comparison context, not as a verdict. * Risk flags such as **Extended**, **Elevated VIX**, or **Pre-Earnings Run** are informational; they do not change the score. See [Anomalies](/dashboard/anomalies). * Select any row to open its **preview panel** (a side panel on desktop, a bottom sheet on mobile) with the key facts, then use **"View Full Analysis"** to open the complete detail page. ## Limits & common mistakes * **The board reflects the last completed session.** Nothing here updates intraday. * **A high Conviction is relative to today's pool**, not a rating of the company. It can change tomorrow because the market changed, not because the stock did. * **Loosening every threshold widens the list but not its meaning.** The filters exist to keep the scan on liquid, tradable names. * **The themed chips are single-select.** Only one is active at a time. A Daily Brief drill-down clears the active chip (and vice versa); the Advanced Filters drawer coexists with the active chip. ## Next steps The three pillars behind every phase and Conviction level. What each phase means and why Conviction is relative. Open any row for its full chart, technicals, and fundamentals. # Ticker detail Source: https://docs.speedsignal.com/dashboard/ticker-detail The full context for one ticker: its Phase, Conviction NN/100, risk flags, technical and fundamental readings, and a live candlestick chart, organized across Overview, Technicals, and Fundamentals sub-tabs. Open any ticker to see everything the system knows about it in one place: where it sits in its setup, how it ranks today, the conditions behind that, and a chart. Each part is descriptive context to help you review the name before doing your own research. Speed Signal AI is screening and analytics software, not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Scores, phases, and screening results are data outputs and research candidates, not investment advice, recommendations, trading signals, or a buy list. Always do your own research. ## What you see The detail page leads with the ticker's **Phase** badge and its **Conviction** number, shown as **Conviction NN/100** with a level (Low, Medium, or High). Below the header, a candlestick **chart** and three sub-tabs, **Overview**, **Technicals**, and **Fundamentals**, hold the rest of the context. A Ticker Detail page with the Phase badge, the Conviction value, the candlestick chart, and the Overview, Technicals, and Fundamentals sub-tabs This **Overview** is the ticker's own sub-tab. It is not the same as the dashboard-level **Overview** tab in the menu, which summarizes the whole market. On a ticker page, "Overview" always means this one ticker. ## The three sub-tabs * **Overview** is a compact snapshot: the ticker's relative-strength rank, its volume impulse, the pivot the setup is built around, a reference breakout range derived from that pivot, its earnings date, and the risk reference levels the methodology tracks. These are context, not entry or exit instructions. * **Technicals** shows the readings behind the phase, grouped into cards: volatility and squeeze, relative strength, money flow and accumulation, price structure, and returns with the RS Rank. * **Fundamentals** shows quarterly company data: earnings and valuation, margins and returns, analyst estimates, and quarter-over-quarter acceleration. **Free and Pro.** The header, the chart, the rule-based analysis, and the **Overview** sub-tab are available for any ticker on every plan (a few Overview reference fields — R:R Ratio, Since Breakout, and Breakout Range — show a Pro lock). The full **Technicals** and **Fundamentals** panels are a **Pro** feature. ## Reference levels, not instructions A few cards on a ticker page carry labels that look like trade parameters: **Risk Stop**, **Invalidation**, **Breakout Range**, **Price Target**, and **R:R Ratio**. In Speed Signal AI these are **methodology reference points**, computed the same way for every ticker so you can compare setups on a common footing. They describe the geometry of the pattern the model tracks. They are **not** stop-loss orders, price forecasts, entry or exit signals, position-sizing guidance, or a recommendation to act. * **Breakout Range** is a reference band derived from the pivot, not a prediction that price will get there. * **Risk Stop** and **Invalidation** mark where the tracked pattern would no longer hold, shown for context, not as an instruction to place an order. * **Price Target** reflects the average external analyst target for the name, shown as reference data, not our own forecast or advice. * **R:R Ratio** is a descriptive ratio between those reference levels, not a judgment that a trade is worthwhile. Speed Signal AI is screening and analytics software, not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Scores, phases, and screening results are data outputs and research candidates, not investment advice, recommendations, trading signals, or a buy list. Always do your own research. ## How to read a ticker page Read the pieces together, top to bottom: * **Phase** describes the current state of the setup (Coiling, Pre-Ignition, Liftoff, or Below). It is a description, not an instruction. * **Conviction NN/100** summarizes how many tracked conditions are present, and the **level** (Low / Medium / High) reflects how that number ranks against the rest of the market that same session. * **Risk flags** identify conditions worth a closer look, for example a name that has already run far from its base, one with earnings coming up, or one carrying an [anomaly flag](/dashboard/anomalies). * **The chart and levels** show technical reference points (such as the pivot) as context for your own analysis, not as targets to act on. The candlestick chart is the **only live element** in the product; everything else on the page reflects the most recent completed session. Use the **Chart Provider** control above the chart to change how it renders; see [Account & settings](/account-and-settings). ## Limits and common mistakes * **Two Overviews.** The sub-tab here is about one ticker; the menu's Overview tab is about the whole market. Do not confuse them. * **Almost everything is end-of-day.** Only the chart updates live. The Phase, Conviction, and readings reflect the last completed session. * **Conviction is relative and resets daily.** A high number today does not mean the ticker is objectively good or recommended; it means it ranked near the top of that day's scan of 3,000+ names. See [Phases and Conviction](/scores/phases-and-conviction). * **Levels are context, not calls.** The pivot and reference levels describe the setup; they are not a recommendation to enter, exit, or size a position. * **Some fundamentals are sparse.** Coverage varies by ticker, so a few Fundamentals fields may be blank. ## Next steps What the Phase badge and Conviction NN/100 actually mean. The risk flags a ticker can carry, and what each one means. Save this ticker to track how it is classified over time. # Top Movers Source: https://docs.speedsignal.com/dashboard/top-movers A price-driven view of Speed Signal AI: the day's biggest gainers, losers, and volume leaders, ordered by how much they moved rather than by Conviction. **Top Movers** is a different lens on the same session. The rest of the dashboard organizes stocks by setup phase and Conviction; Top Movers ignores that and sorts purely by **how much each name moved today**. Use it to see where the day's largest price and volume changes landed. Speed Signal AI is screening and analytics software, not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Scores, phases, and screening results are data outputs and research candidates, not investment advice, recommendations, trading signals, or a buy list. Always do your own research. ## What you see The Top Movers view with the Gainers, Losers, and Volume Leaders lists, each row showing a Phase badge Top Movers shows three lists for the most recent completed session: * **Gainers**: the biggest price moves up. * **Losers**: the biggest price moves down. * **Volume Leaders**: names trading at the highest volume versus their own average. A **Show top** selector lets you set how many names appear in each list, and each row still carries its **Phase** badge so you can see how a big mover is classified by the rest of the system. **Free and Pro.** On **Free**, each list shows the top 5. The **Show top** selector, which lets you expand the lists, is a **Pro** feature. ## Why this lens is useful Because Top Movers is sorted by price change instead of Conviction, it surfaces names the phase-based views may rank lower. A large gainer that is far above its base might show as **Extended** with modest Conviction on the Signal Board, yet still lead this list. Reading the two together tells you both *what moved most* and *where that move sits* in the setup life cycle. This view is ordered by price and volume change, not by score. A name near the top of Gainers is not "higher-ranked" by Speed Signal AI; it simply moved the most. For the scoring-based ranking, use the [Signal Board](/dashboard/signal-board). ## Limits & common mistakes * **Movers reflect the last completed session**, not live prices. The list is a snapshot of the close. * **A big move is not a phase or a Conviction level.** Top Movers measures magnitude only; the Phase badge on each row comes from the separate scoring system. * **Large moves cut both ways.** An outsized gain often means a name is extended, which is context to weigh, not a cue to act on. ## Next steps Rank and filter the same names by phase and Conviction instead. See what changed today across the whole scan. Unusual volume, gaps, and other flags worth a closer look. # Watchlist Source: https://docs.speedsignal.com/dashboard/watchlist Track the tickers you already care about and watch how Speed Signal AI classifies them over time: phase, Conviction, and how close each one sits to its pivot, all in one place. Your **Watchlist** is where you keep the names you already follow and see how the system reclassifies them each day. Instead of hunting for a ticker in the full scan, you pin it once and the dashboard tracks its phase, Conviction, and context for you. The Watchlist starts **empty**. You fill it by starring tickers anywhere they appear. ## What you see Before you add anything, the Watchlist shows an empty state with a short prompt to add your first ticker. Once you star a few names, it fills with a table of your tracked tickers plus a recent-activity feed. The Watchlist tab, where you track the tickers you save ## Add a ticker to your Watchlist You can star a ticker from almost anywhere it is listed: the Signal Board, the Daily Brief, or its own detail page. Locate the name in a table (Signal Board or Daily Brief) or open its [detail page](/dashboard/ticker-detail). Click the star icon on its row. On a ticker's detail page, use the **Save to Watchlist** button instead. The star turns amber once the name is tracked. Open the **Watchlist** tab (or press 3) to see it listed. ## Remove a ticker Click the amber star again, on the ticker's Watchlist row or anywhere it appears, to untrack it. It disappears from your Watchlist right away. ## How to read your Watchlist Once you have names on it, the Watchlist shows each ticker with its current **Phase**, its **Conviction** level, a **Setup** strength rating (zero to five stars), and how close it sits to its pivot, so you can scan your list the same way you read the [Signal Board](/dashboard/signal-board). A **Today on Your Watchlist** panel lists recent activity from the last 7 days: phase changes and other movements on the names you track. It answers the question "what changed on my list since I last looked?" without making you re-check each ticker. ## Limits and common mistakes * **Free tracks up to 10 tickers; Pro is unlimited.** On Free you can save up to 10 names; adding an eleventh prompts you to upgrade. Pro removes the cap. * **It is tied to your account.** Sign in to see your Watchlist; it syncs across your devices. Signed out, you only see the empty state. * **It updates once per day.** Like the rest of the dashboard, the phases and Conviction on your Watchlist reflect the most recent completed session after the US close, not live intraday prices. (The one live element anywhere in the product is the candlestick chart on a ticker's [detail page](/dashboard/ticker-detail).) * **Conviction is relative.** A tracked ticker's Conviction can change from one day to the next because the rest of the market scored differently that session, not because the company did. See [Phases and Conviction](/scores/phases-and-conviction). * **The Watchlist organizes, it does not advise.** Adding a ticker tracks it for you; it is not a buy list or a recommendation to act. ## Next steps Explore and filter the full scan to find names worth starring. Get notified when the tickers or conditions you track change. Understand what the phase badge and Conviction level mean. # FAQ Source: https://docs.speedsignal.com/faq Answers about Speed Signal AI: what it is, how scores are calculated, billing and trials, data coverage, privacy, and common troubleshooting. Common questions about Speed Signal AI, grouped by topic. If you don't find your answer here, use the live chat on the dashboard or email [support@speedsignal.com](mailto:support@speedsignal.com). ## General Speed Signal AI is screening and analytics software. Every day, shortly after the US market closes, it scans 3,000+ US tickers (Russell 3000, S\&P 500, and Nasdaq 100) and organizes them by where each one sits in the life cycle of a breakout **setup**. Results appear in an interactive dashboard with sortable columns, charts, and instant filtering, so you can quickly see the names the system ranks highest, as a starting point for your own research. **No.** Speed Signal AI is screening and analytics software provided for educational and informational purposes only. We are not a broker-dealer or a registered investment adviser, and nothing on our platform constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. Scores and phases are data outputs, not trading signals or a buy list. Trading involves risk, including possible loss of principal, and past performance does not guarantee future results. Always consult a qualified financial advisor before making investment decisions. For the full disclaimer, see [Legal & disclaimer](/legal). Every ticker is evaluated on three pillars. Each pillar is scored from 0 to 100 based on how many of its conditions are present, and the three then combine into a single 0-100 number, which the dashboard surfaces as **Conviction NN/100** alongside a phase: * **Base "Stealth Coil"**: volatility contraction, tightness, squeeze detection, trend quality, and pivot proximity. * **Accumulation "Demand Profile"**: relative strength versus the market, money flow, volume dry-up, and sector tailwind. * **Ignition "Participation Expansion"**: volume impulse, early ignition, and candle quality. Separately, informational risk flags (Extended, Bearish Market Regime, Elevated VIX, Pre-Earnings Run, Anomaly) add context but do **not** change the number. The scoring is deterministic and rules-based: given the same market data, it produces the same result. There is no AI prediction or sentiment behind it. For the full breakdown, see [How scoring works](/scores/how-scoring-works) and [Phases & Conviction](/scores/phases-and-conviction). Price, volume, and exchange data come from exchange feeds via TradingView, processed once per day after the close. Fundamentals come from FactSet via TradingView (updated quarterly). Earnings dates come from exchange filings, and market context comes from SPY, VIX, and sector benchmark ETFs. The scoring itself runs on our own infrastructure. Scores refresh **once per day, after the US market closes**. Everything you see reflects the most recent completed trading session, not live intraday prices. The only live element is the candlestick chart on a ticker's detail page. ## Subscription & billing Two plans: **Free** at $0/month (no payment method required), and **Pro** at $99/month. Annual billing on Pro is discounted to \$990/year, two months free. **Free** includes the full Daily Brief with AI insights, the top 20 daily setups, a watchlist of up to 10 tickers, and 3 active alert rules (in-app plus a daily email digest). **Pro** unlocks the full ranked universe (\~3,000 tickers), the complete Setup Intelligence Panel (40+ technicals, fundamentals, and R:R & breakout analytics per ticker), and unlimited alerts with market-wide custom rules and instant web push. The Free plan is free forever and needs no payment method. When you subscribe to Pro, you start with a **7-day free trial** and full access to the dashboard. Cancel any time before day 8 to avoid a charge; if you don't cancel, the trial converts to a paid Pro subscription on day 8. Cancel any time by emailing [support@speedsignal.com](mailto:support@speedsignal.com) or using the live chat on the dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. We offer a **30-day money-back guarantee** on all new subscriptions. If you're not satisfied within the first 30 days, contact us for a full refund. See the [Refund Policy](https://speedsignal.com/refund.html) for complete details. **Speed Media Group LLC** is the merchant and seller of record for Speed Signal AI. Payments are processed securely by **Stripe**. Applicable taxes may be calculated at checkout, and charges may appear on your statement as Speed Signal AI, Speed Media Group, or a similar descriptor. ## Dashboard & features The system scans 3,000+ tickers across the Russell 3000, S\&P 500, and Nasdaq 100, covering US equities on all major exchanges (NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX). For what makes a ticker eligible, see [Data coverage](/scores/data-coverage). Yes. The dashboard is fully responsive and works on phones, tablets, and desktops. No app installation is required; just open it in your browser. Two charting options: the **TradingView** widget (the default; full-featured interactive charts) and **Speed Charts** (fast and lightweight). Switch between them with the Chart Provider control above the chart on any ticker's detail page. See [Account & settings](/account-and-settings). No. Accounts are single-user and non-transferable. Sharing your login is a violation of our [Terms of Service](https://speedsignal.com/terms.html) and may result in account suspension. ## Privacy & security The minimum needed to run the service: your email address (via our sign-in provider), any messages you send to support chat, and your IP address for security. For the full breakdown, see our [Privacy Policy](https://speedsignal.com/privacy.html). No. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Period. All connections are encrypted via HTTPS, with secure session management for sign-in. Database credentials are stored as environment variables, never in source code, and administrative endpoints are protected by authentication. For more, see our [Privacy Policy](https://speedsignal.com/privacy.html). ## Troubleshooting First, make sure you're signed in. Scores load once per day after the US close, so right after a session the newest scan may still be processing; check back a little later. If you've tightened the filters on the [Signal Board](/dashboard/signal-board), reset them to widen the results. On weekends and market holidays there's no new session, so the board shows the last completed one. Check a few things in **Settings → Notification Settings**: that the channel you expected (Email, Push, or In-App) is turned on; that you weren't inside your **Quiet Hours**; and that you haven't hit the **Max alerts per day** cap (email and push are capped, but the in-app bell always logs everything). For push, confirm your browser granted notification permission; for email, check your spam folder. Alerts evaluate on the daily update, not intraday. See [Alerts](/dashboard/alerts). Scores update **once per day, after the US close**, and everything reflects the most recent completed session. If you left a tab open across the daily update, refresh the page to pull the latest scan. No new data appears on weekends or market holidays. See [Data coverage](/scores/data-coverage). The board only scans US equities that pass the eligibility filters: price ≥ $2, market cap ≥ $300M, free float > 30%, a minimum average daily dollar-volume, not in a clearly established downtrend, no excessive gap down, and an earnings buffer around confirmed earnings dates. Tickers outside the covered universe (Russell 3000, S\&P 500, Nasdaq 100), or ones that fail a filter, won't appear. For the full eligibility list, see [Data coverage](/scores/data-coverage). ## Still need help? Which tickers are eligible, and why one might be missing. Source: https://docs.speedsignal.com/introduction A daily, end-of-day stock screening and analytics dashboard that organizes 3,000+ US stocks by breakout-setup phase, as a starting point for your own research. Speed Signal AI is **screening and analytics software**. Every day, after the US market closes, it scans thousands of US stocks and sorts them by where each one sits in the life cycle of a breakout **setup**, so you don't have to scan charts one by one. Instead of a wall of tickers, you get a short, organized list: names that are quietly tightening up, names starting to move, and names already breaking out, each with the context around it. It helps you see what changed and where to look. Speed Signal AI is screening and analytics software, not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Scores, phases, and screening results are data outputs and research candidates, not investment advice, recommendations, trading signals, or a buy list. Always do your own research. ## What it does * **Scans 3,000+ US stocks daily** (Russell 3000, S\&P 500, Nasdaq 100) shortly after the close. * **Sorts them into four phases** (Coiling, Pre-Ignition, Liftoff, and Below) that describe the current state of each setup. * **Adds context** to every ticker: a Conviction level, risk flags, sector strength, and a chart. * **Notifies you** when the names or conditions you care about change, so you don't have to check manually. The **scoring itself is deterministic and rules-based**: given the same market data, it produces the same result every time. It uses no AI, sentiment, or predictions to rank a ticker. ## What it does not do Speed Signal AI helps you organize market data and setup context. It does **not** recommend securities, timing, position size, or trade actions. * It does not predict returns or tell you a move will continue. * It does not tell you when to buy or sell, or how much. * It does not replace your own research or a conversation with a qualified financial advisor. ## Where to start From signing in to reviewing your first setup, in about 5 minutes. A quick map of every view and how to read a ticker at a glance. The three pillars behind every phase and Conviction level. Billing, data, coverage, and the questions people ask most. # Legal & disclaimer Source: https://docs.speedsignal.com/legal Speed Signal AI is screening and analytics software, not investment advice. The full disclaimer, plus links to Terms, Privacy, and the Refund Policy. This page brings together the full disclaimer for Speed Signal AI and links to our legal documents. ## What Speed Signal AI is not Speed Signal AI helps you organize market data and setup context. It does **not** recommend securities, timing, position size, or trade actions. * It does not predict returns or tell you a move will continue. * It does not tell you when to buy or sell, or how much. * It does not replace your own research or a conversation with a qualified financial advisor. ## Methodology & data disclaimer The methodology described throughout these docs is provided for transparency and educational purposes. Speed Signal AI is screening and analytics software, not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Scores, phases, and screening results are data outputs and research candidates, not investment advice, recommendations, trading signals, or a buy list. Past performance of high-scoring stocks does not guarantee future results. Always conduct your own research and consult a qualified financial advisor. Scores reflect **end-of-day** data and update once per day after the US close. Historical scores may differ from live scores due to data revisions, and earnings-data availability varies by ticker. The system is built for daily-timeframe setup detection. ## Billing & merchant of record **Speed Media Group LLC** is the merchant and seller of record for Speed Signal AI. Start with the [FAQ](/faq) or [Account & settings](/account-and-settings). # Quickstart Source: https://docs.speedsignal.com/quickstart Sign in and go from the Daily Brief to your first saved setup in about five minutes, using Phase badges and Conviction levels, no jargon. This is the fastest path from signing in to reviewing your first **setup**. In about five minutes you'll open the Daily Brief, read a ticker's Phase and Conviction, narrow the Signal Board to a shortlist worth researching, and save a name to your Watchlist. Speed Signal AI is screening and analytics software, not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Scores, phases, and screening results are data outputs and research candidates, not investment advice, recommendations, trading signals, or a buy list. Always do your own research. Scores update **once per day, after the US market closes**. Everything you see reflects the most recent completed trading session, not live intraday prices. The only live element is the candlestick chart on a ticker's detail page. Because the scan runs after the close, you're always reviewing the most recent completed session, not a live feed. Nothing here moves tick by tick, so there's nothing to watch in real time. ## What you see The dashboard opens on the **Daily Brief**, a summary of what changed in the latest scan. From the top navigation you can move to the Signal Board, Watchlist, and Alerts. The Daily Brief on first sign-in, with the top navigation, the Market Snapshot KPIs, and the Top 10 Daily Setups table ## Get your first win Go to [speedsignal.com](https://speedsignal.com) and open the dashboard. Sign in with your email address or a social account. On your first visit you'll create an account on the Free plan, so you can start without a card. The **Daily Brief** is the home view and opens by default. It answers "what changed today?" at a glance: a **Market Snapshot** (an overall regime card plus four KPI cards, **New Liftoffs**, **Pre-Ignition Upgrades**, **Near Pivot**, and **Failed Setups**), the **Top 10 Daily Setups** table, and a **Sector Strength** panel. Click a KPI card to open the Signal Board filtered to those names. Every ticker carries a **Phase** badge (**Coiling**, **Pre-Ignition**, **Liftoff**, or **Below**) that describes the current state of its setup. Next to it, the **Conviction** column shows a level: **Low**, **Medium**, or **High**. These are the two things to read first: Phase tells you *what stage* the setup is in, Conviction tells you *how it ranks today*. Conviction is **relative and resets every session**. "High" means a ticker ranked among the highest relative scores in that day's scan of 3,000+ tickers, not that it is an objectively good or recommended stock. A ticker's Conviction can change from one day to the next because the pool changed, not because the company did. Open the **Signal Board** (the full, filterable screener). Use the quick-filter **chips** to narrow the list to what you want to review. For example, tap **New Liftoffs** to see names that just reached the Liftoff phase, or **Highest Conviction** to see the day's highest-Conviction names. You can also search for a ticker, or open **Advanced Filters** for finer control (Conviction, status, tier, and risk-flag pills, plus the eligibility thresholds). What's left is a shortlist to research on your own. Click any row to open its **preview panel** (a side panel on desktop, a bottom sheet on mobile) with the ticker's key context at a glance. From there, **View Full Analysis** opens the full **Ticker Detail** page: a candlestick chart plus **Overview**, **Technicals**, and **Fundamentals** sub-tabs, the Phase badge, the Conviction number (shown as **Conviction NN/100**), any risk flags, and the technical reference levels the setup is built around. Tap the **star** icon next to a ticker to save it to your **Watchlist**. Your Watchlist starts empty; saved names let you track phase changes and Conviction over time without hunting for them each day. Open **Alerts** and turn on a preset (for example, **Phase Upgrade** or **Liftoff Confirmation**) or build a custom per-ticker rule. Your delivery channels (email, push, or in-app) are chosen once in **Settings**, not per alert, and Speed Signal AI notifies you when that condition shows up, so you don't have to check manually. (Quiet hours are respected.) ## How to read what you see Lead with the two things on screen for every ticker: * **Phase** is a description of a state, not an instruction. "Liftoff" means the setup conditions are most aligned in the data right now, not that you should act. * **Conviction** is a separate axis from Phase. A **Coiling** ticker can be **High** Conviction, and a **Liftoff** ticker can be **Low** Conviction. On a ticker's detail page the same value appears as **Conviction NN/100**. Read them together as context to review, never as a measure of how good a trade is. You'll usually meet the underlying 0–100 value as **Conviction** rather than as a standalone "score" label; on a ticker's detail page it appears as **Conviction NN/100**. ## Limits & common mistakes * **It's end-of-day.** Everything except the ticker's candlestick chart reflects the last completed session, not live prices. * **Conviction is relative and resets daily.** "High" today doesn't carry over to tomorrow; the pool is re-ranked every session. * **A Phase badge is a label, not a call to action.** It describes what the data is doing, not what you should do with money. * **Empty Watchlist and Alerts are normal at first**: they fill up as you save names and turn on presets. * **A chip name is a filter, not a recommendation.** "Highest Conviction" narrows the list; it doesn't endorse those tickers. ## Next steps A map of every view and how to read a ticker at a glance. What each phase means and why Conviction is relative. Filters, chips, and the Advanced Filters drawer in depth. # Data & coverage Source: https://docs.speedsignal.com/scores/data-coverage Where Speed Signal AI's data comes from, when it updates, which 3,000+ US tickers are eligible, and why a given ticker may not appear in the scan. Speed Signal AI scans **3,000+ US tickers** every trading day: the Russell 3000, S\&P 500, and Nasdaq 100, across NYSE, NASDAQ, and AMEX. This page covers where the data comes from, when it refreshes, and what makes a ticker eligible for the scan. ## When the data updates Scores update **once per day, after the US market closes**. Everything you see reflects the most recent completed trading session, not live intraday prices. The only live element is the candlestick chart on a ticker's detail page. Because everything reflects the most recent completed session, the numbers you see in the morning describe yesterday's close. They do not move during the trading day. ## Where the data comes from | Data type | Source | Update frequency | | ----------------- | --------------------------------------------- | ----------------------- | | Price & volume | Exchange data via TradingView | Daily at close | | Fundamentals | FactSet via TradingView | Quarterly | | Earnings dates | Exchange filings | As filed | | Market context | SPY, VIX, and sector benchmark ETFs | Daily | | Company reference | Exchange/company reference data (TradingView) | As company info changes | The scoring itself is **deterministic and rules-based** and runs on the same market data every time. It uses no AI, sentiment, or predictions. ## What you see The Signal Board with the Advanced Filters drawer open, showing the editable eligibility thresholds and their inline help icons Most of the eligibility thresholds below are adjustable from the [Signal Board](/dashboard/signal-board) in its **Advanced Filters** drawer, where each threshold has inline help. ## Eligibility filters Before scoring, a ticker must pass a set of coverage filters so the board stays focused on tradable US equities. The values below are the defaults: | Filter | Default | | ------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Price** | ≥ \$2 | | **Liquidity** | a minimum average daily dollar-volume | | **Market Cap** | ≥ \$300M | | **Free Float** | > 30% | | **Trend** | not in a clearly established downtrend | | **Gap** | no excessive gap down | | **Earnings buffer** | scoring pauses within a window around confirmed earnings dates, to reduce event-driven noise | ## Why isn't my ticker here? If a name you follow does not appear in the scan, it usually falls into one of these buckets: * **It's outside the covered universe.** The scan covers the Russell 3000, S\&P 500, and Nasdaq 100 on US exchanges. Tickers outside those indexes (including most non-US listings, OTC names, and funds) are not scanned. * **It didn't pass an eligibility filter.** A price under $2, a market cap under $300M, thin liquidity, a low free float, a clear downtrend, or a large gap down will keep a ticker out of the scan for that day. * **It's inside an earnings buffer.** Scoring pauses in the window around a confirmed earnings date, so a name can drop out temporarily around its report. * **It's eligible but in the Below phase.** It passed the filters but does not currently meet any active setup criteria, so it may not surface in the views you were looking at. In the [Signal Board](/dashboard/signal-board) Advanced Filters drawer, enable the **No Setup** status pill (the label the Below phase uses in the dashboard tables) to include these names. Many filters are adjustable in the Signal Board's Advanced Filters drawer. Loosening a threshold (for example, lowering the market-cap floor) can bring more tickers into the list. ## Limitations * Numbers reflect **end-of-day** data; intraday moves are not captured. * Historical numbers may differ from live ones because of **data revisions**. * **Earnings-date availability varies** by ticker. * **Small-cap stocks can behave differently** from larger companies; the board treats that context separately where relevant. * The model is **optimized for daily-timeframe breakout detection**, not other styles or timeframes. ## Next steps The three pillars that turn this data into the 0–100 number. Adjust the eligibility thresholds and filter the full list. What the phase labels and Conviction levels mean. Plain-language definitions of every label you see in the app. # Glossary Source: https://docs.speedsignal.com/scores/glossary Plain-language definitions of the labels you see across Speed Signal AI: Phase, Conviction, Pillar, Setup, Signal, Watchlist, Alert, and more. Every term below matches a label you'll see in the app. Definitions describe what the tool measures or shows, not what to do with your money. ## Alert An optional notification the app sends when the dashboard changes for the tickers or conditions you chose. Alerts can arrive by email, push, or in-app, and they respect your quiet hours. They are informational, not trade recommendations. See [Alerts](/dashboard/alerts). ## Anomaly A move that falls outside the canonical breakout setup, surfaced in the Anomalies tab. The app labels seven kinds: **ATR Spike**, **Volume Climax**, **MF Divergence**, **Sector Outlier**, **Gap Extreme**, **Pre-Earnings Run**, and **Piotroski Mismatch**. Anomalies are context flags, not scores. See [Anomalies](/dashboard/anomalies). ## Below A [Phase](#phase) label meaning a ticker is not in any active setup phase right now: it does not currently meet the setup criteria. In the dashboard tables this phase is shown as **"No Setup"**. ## Coiling A [Phase](#phase) label for compressed volatility and tight price action that meet the model's base-formation criteria. An early stage where a quiet base is building. ## Conviction How a ticker's 0–100 number ranks against the rest of the market in the same session, grouped as **Low**, **Medium**, or **High**. On a ticker's detail page it appears as **Conviction NN/100** plus the level; in tables it sits under the **Conviction** column (shortened to **Conf** in the Advanced Filters drawer table and the Anomalies table). Conviction is relative and resets every day. See [Phases & Conviction](/scores/phases-and-conviction). ## Daily Brief The home view of the dashboard. It opens with a **Market Snapshot** (an overall regime read plus four clickable KPIs: New Liftoffs, Pre-Ignition Upgrades, Near Pivot, and Failed Setups), then a **Top 10 Daily Setups** table, a short **Signal Story** summary, **Sector Strength**, and a **Recent Setups** list. See [Daily Brief](/dashboard/daily-brief). ## Eligibility The set of coverage filters a ticker must pass before it is scored: price, liquidity, market cap, free float, trend, gap, and an earnings buffer. See [Data & coverage](/scores/data-coverage). ## Liftoff A [Phase](#phase) label for the strongest active phase, where price and participation conditions are most aligned in the data for this methodology. ## Phase The label that describes where a ticker sits in the life cycle of a breakout setup. Every ticker has exactly one: * **Coiling**: compressed volatility and tight price action; an early base. * **Pre-Ignition**: momentum and accumulation conditions starting to show in the data. * **Liftoff**: the strongest active phase, where conditions are most aligned. * **Below**: not in any active setup phase right now. Phase is a separate axis from [Conviction](#conviction). See [Phases & Conviction](/scores/phases-and-conviction). ## Pillar One of the three groups of conditions the model scores: **Base "Stealth Coil"**, **Accumulation "Demand Profile"**, and **Ignition "Participation Expansion"**. Each is scored 0–100, and the three combine into the single number the app shows as Conviction. See [How scoring works](/scores/how-scoring-works). ## Pivot A technical reference level a setup is built around, roughly the breakout point the model watches. On a ticker's detail page it anchors related reference levels such as the breakout range. The pivot is descriptive context for your own analysis, not an instruction to buy, sell, or place an order. ## Pre-Ignition A [Phase](#phase) label meaning momentum and accumulation conditions are starting to show up in the data. An earlier-stage candidate. ## Reference levels Descriptive price points the methodology computes the same way for every ticker so setups can be compared on a common footing: the [Pivot](#pivot), **Trigger**, **Risk Stop**, **Invalidation**, **Breakout Range**, **Price Target**, and **R:R Ratio**. They describe the geometry of the tracked pattern and are reference data only, not stop-loss orders, price forecasts, entry or exit signals, position sizing, or a recommendation to act. See [Ticker detail](/dashboard/ticker-detail). ## Risk flag A context label that highlights a condition worth knowing, for example **Extended**, **Bearish Market Regime**, **Elevated VIX**, or **Pre-Earnings Run**. Risk flags do not change the 0–100 number; they add context to read alongside it. See [Phases & Conviction](/scores/phases-and-conviction). ## Sector Strength A section of the Daily Brief that shows how the market's sectors are performing relative to each other, as context for where setups are clustering. See [Daily Brief](/dashboard/daily-brief). ## Setup A recurring technical pattern where a stock has been quietly compressing and then starts to expand. Speed Signal AI organizes tickers by the state of their setup. A setup is context to research, not a forecast that a move will continue. ## Signal A ticker that met the model's screening criteria on a given day: a research result, not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold. ## Watchlist Your personal list of tickers to track over time. It starts empty; you add the names you want to follow, and the app shows how it classifies them each day. See [Watchlist](/dashboard/watchlist). ## Next steps The three pillars behind the 0–100 number. How phases and Conviction levels work together. # How scoring works Source: https://docs.speedsignal.com/scores/how-scoring-works The 0–100 number behind every ticker in Speed Signal AI, shown in the app as Conviction NN/100, and the three pillars (Base, Accumulation, and Ignition) that produce it. Every ticker in the daily scan carries one number from 0 to 100 that summarizes how many of the model's breakout conditions are present. The app surfaces that number as **Conviction NN/100** on a ticker's detail page. It is produced by three pillars, and it is deterministic and rules-based, not an AI opinion. Speed Signal AI is screening and analytics software, not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Scores, phases, and screening results are data outputs and research candidates, not investment advice, recommendations, trading signals, or a buy list. Always do your own research. ## What you see A Ticker Detail card showing the Conviction NN/100 value with its Low, Medium, or High level and the Phase badge The raw 0–100 number is not labeled "score" on screen. Where you actually meet it: * **On a ticker's detail page** it appears as **Conviction NN/100** plus a level: **Low**, **Medium**, or **High**. * **On rows** in the Signal Board and elsewhere it shows as the level only, under the **Conviction** column (abbreviated **Conf** in the Signal Board's Advanced Filters drawer table and the Anomalies table). * **Every row also carries a Phase badge** (Coiling, Pre-Ignition, Liftoff, or Below), which is a separate label. See [Phases & Conviction](/scores/phases-and-conviction). So when this page talks about "the score," that is the same 0–100 number the app shows you as Conviction. ## How the number is built The model evaluates each ticker across **three pillars**. Each pillar is scored 0–100 based on how many of its conditions are present, and the three combine into the single 0–100 number (their average). ### Pillar 1: Base "Stealth Coil" Describes how orderly and compressed a stock's recent trading behavior is: * **Volatility Contraction**: how much the day-to-day price swings have tightened versus the stock's own recent history. * **Tightness**: how narrow and controlled the recent trading action is. * **Squeeze Detection**: whether recent volatility compression is notable enough to support a tighter, more orderly setup classification. * **Trend Quality**: whether the stock is trending up in an orderly way rather than downtrending or chopping sideways. * **Pivot Proximity**: how close the stock is to a relevant technical reference area identified by the methodology. ### Pillar 2: Accumulation "Demand Profile" Surfaces price and volume behavior often associated with persistent participation: * **Relative Strength**: whether the stock is leading the broad market rather than lagging it. * **Money Flow**: whether volume and price behavior fit sustained-participation patterns rather than a one-day spike. * **Volume Dry-Up**: quiet volume while price holds tight, a pattern historically associated with reduced selling pressure. * **Sector Tailwind**: whether the broader industry group is supportive rather than acting as a headwind. ### Pillar 3: Ignition "Participation Expansion" Measures whether current price and participation behavior is broadening versus the recent baseline: * **Volume Impulse**: whether trading activity is expanding materially versus the stock's normal baseline. * **Early Ignition**: whether price and participation are strengthening in the current data. * **Candle Quality**: whether the session's price action shows broad-participation characteristics rather than thin or one-sided trading. ## Find a ticker's Conviction number From the [Signal Board](/dashboard/signal-board) or [Daily Brief](/dashboard/daily-brief), select any ticker to open its [detail page](/dashboard/ticker-detail). The **Conviction NN/100** number and its **Low / Medium / High** level sit near the top of the page, alongside the Phase badge. Open the **Technicals** sub-tab to review the underlying measures that feed the three pillars. ## How to read the number * **Higher means more conditions are lining up**, not that a stock is "good" or that a move will happen. It is a summary of what the data is doing right now. * **The number and the level answer different questions.** The 0–100 number measures how many conditions are present for that ticker. The Low/Medium/High **level** measures how that number ranks against the rest of the market that same day. A high number does not guarantee a High level, because the level depends on how everything else scored. See [Phases & Conviction](/scores/phases-and-conviction). * **It is reproducible.** Given the same market data, the model produces the same number every time. There is no sentiment analysis or subjective judgment involved. ## Limits & common mistakes A high number is context to research, not a measure of how good a position would be. The model does not know your goals, timeframe, or risk, and it never suggests what to do with money. * **Do not read the number as a prediction.** It describes present conditions, not a forecast that a move will continue. * **Do not compare numbers across different days as if they were fixed grades.** Scores update once per day and can shift with data revisions. See [Data & coverage](/scores/data-coverage). * **A high number can still carry risk flags** (for example, Extended or Pre-Earnings Run). Those do not change the number; they add context you should read alongside it. ## Next steps How the four phases and the Low/Medium/High levels work, and why they are separate axes. Where the numbers come from, when they update, and which tickers are eligible. Filter and compare tickers by phase, Conviction, and market cap. Plain-language definitions of every label you see in the app. # Phases & Conviction Source: https://docs.speedsignal.com/scores/phases-and-conviction The four phase labels (Coiling, Pre-Ignition, Liftoff, and Below), the Low/Medium/High Conviction levels, and the risk flags that add context in Speed Signal AI. Every ticker carries two labels that describe its setup: a **Phase** (where it sits in the life cycle of a breakout setup) and a **Conviction** level (how it ranks against the market that day). They are separate axes, so read them together. Speed Signal AI is screening and analytics software, not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Scores, phases, and screening results are data outputs and research candidates, not investment advice, recommendations, trading signals, or a buy list. Always do your own research. ## What you see A Signal Board row showing a Phase badge next to its Conviction level under the Conviction column * The **Phase** badge appears on every row and on the ticker detail page: **Coiling**, **Pre-Ignition**, **Liftoff**, or **Below**. * The **Conviction** level (**Low**, **Medium**, or **High**) appears next to it (on rows, under the **Conviction** column; on the detail page, as **Conviction NN/100** plus the level). ## The four phases A phase describes the current state of a ticker's setup. It is a description, not an instruction. | Phase | What it means | | ---------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Coiling** | Compressed volatility and tight price action that meet the model's base-formation criteria. An early stage where a quiet base is building. | | **Pre-Ignition** | Momentum and accumulation conditions are starting to show up in the data. An earlier-stage candidate. | | **Liftoff** | The strongest active phase, where price and participation conditions are most aligned in the data for this methodology. | | **Below** | Not in any active setup phase right now: it does not currently meet the setup criteria. In the dashboard tables, this phase is labeled **No Setup**. | A phase is a state, not a step to take. "Liftoff" means the setup conditions are aligned in the data, not that anything should be done about it. ## Conviction (Low / Medium / High) Inside every phase, Conviction adds a second dimension. It reflects **how a ticker's 0–100 number ranks against the rest of the market that same session**. High is reserved for the highest relative numbers of the day. Conviction is **relative and resets every session**. "High" means a ticker ranked among the highest relative scores in that day's scan of 3,000+ tickers, not that it is an objectively good or recommended stock. A ticker's Conviction can change from one day to the next because the pool changed, not because the company did. ## Phase and Conviction are separate axes This is the part people most often get wrong. Phase and Conviction answer different questions and do not move together: * A **Coiling** ticker can be **High** Conviction. * A **Liftoff** ticker can be **Low** Conviction. Phase says *where in the setup life cycle* a ticker sits. Conviction says *how it ranks today* against everything else that was scanned. Read the pair, not either one alone, and remember Conviction can change from one day to the next because the pool changed, not because the company did. ## Risk flags (informational) Some tickers carry context flags. They **do not change the 0–100 number**; they surface conditions worth knowing before you research a name. * **Extended**: the stock is already far from its recent base, so the board marks it as extended context. * **Bearish Market Regime**: the broad market itself is trending down, a headwind for new breakouts. * **Elevated VIX**: market-wide volatility is running high. * **Pre-Earnings Run**: a known earnings event is near, so there is event risk in the window around it. * **Anomaly**: a move outside the canonical setup, surfaced in the [Anomalies](/dashboard/anomalies) tab. ## Limits & common mistakes * **Do not treat "Liftoff" as better than "Coiling."** They describe different stages, not a ranking of quality. A Coiling name can rank higher today than a Liftoff name. * **Do not treat "High Conviction" as a fixed grade.** It is relative to one session and resets daily. The same ticker can be High one day and Medium the next with no change to the company. * **Risk flags are context, not scores.** A High Conviction ticker can still be flagged Extended or Pre-Earnings Run at the same time. ## Next steps The three pillars that produce the 0–100 number behind each phase and Conviction level. The seven flags for moves that fall outside the canonical setup. Filter by phase, Conviction, and market cap to compare setups. Plain-language definitions of every label you see in the app.
